.30-06 SPRG caliber. 24″ barrel length. SN: 981915. Bolt-action rifle with internal 5-shot magazine, sling swivels, bayonet lug, and adjustable tangent and fixed blade sights. Dull blued military finish and plain semi-pistol grip walnut stock. Markings include “U.S./SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY/MODEL 1903” to front of breech, and Springfield Armory (S-A/Flaming bomb/9-18) marks to barrel. Cartouche marks include large and small “7923” marks both to right side of butt, and “X” and “N” marks to underside of forend and grip respectively. Item has various letter markings to small parts as well.
